We collect, collate and process the personal data listed below (where applicable) that you make available to us. This information is required for the evaluation of your applications, for the appropriate operation of sea chefs and the fulfilment of contractual obligations, for the protection of legitimate interests and for the fulfilment of our legal obligations. We make every effort necessary to ensure that the information stored and processed is accurate and up to date.

You can apply for a position online via our site (for example on the Vacancies, Job Search and Unsolicited Applications pages). Within the framework of the application process you will be asked to consent to the collection and processing of the personal data you submit. This relates in particular to your name, residential address and e-mail address, as well as to information on your professional career and your qualifications. We use your personal data in order to respond to your application, process your inquiry and provide you with access to certain information or offers. We assure you that your data will be treated confidentially. The data is technically protected and transmitted via Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (https).

In addition, when you visit the sea chefs website, the web server registers details of your visit (for example, your IP address, the website from which you are visiting us, the type of browser software used and the pages of the sea chefs website which you are currently visiting). All sea chefs systems run via a data centre. The sea chefs offices are connected to the data centre via a secure private line. These servers are looked after by our IT Department and an additional external service provider.

The hoster is used for the purposes of fulfilment of the contract with our potential and existing customers and employees and in the interests of providing our online offer in a secure, fast and efficient manner through a provider of online hosting (“hoster”). Our hoster will only process your data to the extent that this is necessary for the fulfilment of its service obligations and will follow our instructions with regard to this data. In order to ensure data protection-compliant processing, we have concluded a contract for order processing with our hoster.

Only authorised individuals have access to this information. This is stored in order to enable sea chefs to fulfil its contractual obligations towards its employees, as well as its legal obligations towards local and foreign public authorities or with regard to international agreements, the settlement of conflicts and claims and its general operations. We will store your information for as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contract between you and sea chefs. Within this context it may be necessary to store personal data even after the end of the contract in order to fulfil legal obligations.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and use appropriate security checks to protect this data from unauthorised access, loss, destruction and damage. We use encryption, firewalls, access controls, standards and other procedures to protect information against unauthorised access. We have carried out training courses on the topic of data protection data and made employees aware of the need to protect personal data.

Our offer is aimed exclusively at adult individuals. For this reason, the use of the sea chefs website by underage persons is prohibited.

 

We store all Internet Protocol (IP) addresses in our log file for a limited time, i.e. for as long as required for technical and security-related purposes, within the framework of our legal guidelines. We draw up anonymous statistics in order to determine the number of visitors to our website (visitor traffic). Your data will mainly be processed by our Human Resources Department. However, in some cases other internal and external bodies are also involved in the processing of your data.

sea chefs may forward your data to other sea chefs companies, as well as to their own agents and third-party service providers within or outside the country in which you live for the provision of sea chefs’ services and for the purposes set out above. sea chefs companies, agents and third-party service providers that have access to personal data collected via the sea chefs website are obliged to observe data protection regulations.

When personal data is transferred to third r countries, we ensure that the applicable laws and regulations in each case are complied with, for example by concluding agreements to the effect that the recipients of your data must maintain an appropriate level of data protection.

This website is hosted by an external service provider (hoster). The personal data collected on this website is stored on the hoster’s servers. This may above all include IP addresses, contact inquiries, meta and communication data, contractual data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.

The hoster is used for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with respect to our potential and existing customers (Art. 6, para. 1 b of the GDPR) and in the interests of the secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6, para. 1 f of the GDPR).

Our hoster will only process your data to the extent that this is necessary for the fulfilment of its service obligations and will follow our instructions with regard to this data.

In order to ensure data protection-compliant processing, we have concluded a contract for order processing with our hoster.

We may also disclose your data to government authorities or agencies or to supervisory authorities or other individuals while complying with any applicable laws, regulations, court decisions or official requests, or in accordance with and for the purposes of all guidelines or similar procedures issued by supervisory and other authorities, insofar as this is required or permitted according to the law-in force.

Please inform us if your personal data should change. It is important that the information that is available to us about you is accurate and up to date. You have the following rights with respect to the personal data that is available to us about you, but subject to the local laws that apply in the area where you reside:
